- To hold a university degree in one of the approved specialties according to each branch of valuation, as determined by the Membership Regulations of the Authority, unless exempted as one of the basic exempted members under Article (40) of the regulations.
- Pass all fellowship certification exams according to each valuation sector.
- Complete the required experience hours to obtain the Fellowship Certificate.
- Pass interviews conducted by the General Secretariat to verify the fulfillment of requirements under these Rules.
Hours of experience consist of direct hours and indirect hours. Direct experience hours denotes hours from result from carrying out valuation work, and are calculated through valuation reports, while hours of indirect experience are those that result from supervising the work of valuators, or performing work related to valuation. It is calculated in years of experience.
To obtain the fellowship certificate, at least (3000) hours of experience must be registered in the member’s account in e-services portal, provided that at least 50% of hours of professional practice are gained from valuation work.
Holder of a Fellowship certificate
Membership Requirements:
- Requires the individual to obtain a Fellowship certificate in the Precious Metals and Gemstones valuation sector.
- Must hold a university degree in one of the specialties recognized by the authority from one of the recognized universities.
- Holder of a certificate or diploma in gemstone examination.
- Must register 2500 hours of experience on the electronic portal.
The words and expressions mentioned in this policy shall have the meanings indicated in front of each of them in Article (One) of the Accredited Valuers System issued by Royal Decree No. (M/43) dated 9/7/1433 AH and its amendments, and Article (One) of the Executive Regulations of the System issued by the decision of His Excellency the Minister Finance No. (107) dated 1/28/1445 AH, and Article (1) of the general rules for the Authority’s fellowship certificate issued by the Authority’s Board of Directors Resolution No. (3/40/M/23) dated 1/6/1445 AH.
- Registration for courses, tests, and discussions takes place via the Authority’s electronic systems, and the applicant is committed to reviewing the provisions and rules regulating the evaluation profession, especially the general rules for the fellowship certificate and this policy, before beginning registration.
- The financial fee for registering in the levels shall be according to what is approved by the authority holder, and this fee shall be paid using the electronic payment methods approved by the Authority.
- It is not permitted to register for a course, test, or discuss any training curriculum or applied practical project before passing the previous training curriculum.
- The applicant may retake the test or discussion - once only - if the passing requirements are not met, after paying the financial fee and submitting an application through the Authority’s electronic systems. In the event of not passing after repeating, the applicant must re-register in the training curriculum again.
The fellowship certificate is granted by decision of the CEO after the applicant fulfills the conditions and regulatory requirements for obtaining the certificate, based on what is submitted by the competent department after coordination with the competent departments of the Authority.
