Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers "Taqeem" held online professional session to discuss the most common mistakes in writing valuation reports on Wednesday 7/9/2022. It was presented by Mr. Paul Cogley, who is an accredited valuer from the American Association of Appraisers (ASA), and Mr. Mike Kenyon, who is a machinery and equipment valuer and Mr. Mustafa Al-Durayhim the professional development expert in Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers, participated in managing the dialogue.

During the professional session, valuation reports were reviewed for machinery and equipment valuation purposes and discussed the most prominent ways to raise reports' quality and achieve best professional practices in the Kingdom. 

Mr. Mustafa mentioned the most important elements that must be available in valuation reports, including valuer identity, valuation purpose, type of report, whether detailed or brief according to the client’s request, a description of the asset under valuation, date of valuation, other users of the report, restrictions on use and publication, valuation approaches and assumptions used. He also addressed the importance of including evidence and references that were used to prepare the reports in the appendix and add the valuer's CV or his experience in valuation to the valuation report.

This is one of series specialized professional sessions, the Authority is always keen to present, seeks through it to inform members and practitioners of the profession's updates and to transfer the best international practices to practitioners.
